Writing

Writing is structured exploration with a point of view.

I use essays as thought experiments: a way to explore ideas carefully, practice the craft of writing, and stay with questions where easy answers would hide the real problem. The pieces usually ask how tools change the work they enter, where control or responsibility moves, what human skill remains worth practicing, and what a system does to the person using it.
